Your Tiny Lake
I have never understood people who are always so surprised, when they build homes in the areas where wild animals live, that the animals may venture into their yards. I remember, years ago, we had the opportunity to buy a beautiful home that abutted the Cleveland National Forest, but I declined, stating that I was not willing to share my home with the animals of the forest. We eventually bought a house that back up to a National Guard airbase and never fail, some neighbor would complain about the noise the planes made taking off and landing... I mean, it's not like the airbase was well hidden from them when they moved in. I have never understood people who complain about the obvious.

Slip And Slide!
I remember when I was little, I couldn't wait for a hot summer's day when the slip and slide would be dragged out of the garage and rolled out across our front lawn. The hose would be inserted into the slip and slide and the sprinklers turned on around it. We would run through the sprinklers and throw ourselves down on the slide, either on our butts or tummies, and slide gleefully across the plastic onto the grass. Never fail, "Carrie the Klutz's" knee would inevitably find a sprinkler head and she would injure her knee. One summer, I did this about five times, cutting my knee in the same place. Today, at age 53, I still have that scar on my knee.

Dudes Be Like...
Dudes be like... "Babe... are you still on your period?" I LOVE the look on this little feller's face, as it looks exactly like the ex's face when he would do something that would send my blood pressure shooting (this happened a lot, as you can see by the use of the prefix "ex") Looking back, I almost feel sorry for him... almost... ;-P
You're Not The Jackass Whisperer!
Seriously, don't try to win over the haters, you're not the Jackass Whisperer! Some people may never be happy with anything you do and why even waste your time trying with them? Save your precious time and energy for those who appreciate you for who you are and what you have to offer as another human being. For me, my haters are moved to what I have labeled as the "non-existent" file, as they cease to exist in my world. ; )

My New Best Friend
“A child has no ego, no past or future. The child has no attachments, and because of this, he is able to express himself fully, without any prejudices or preconceived ideas.” ~ Amma
I love how children are so unabashed in their feelings. The moment is always right for them and no one is a stranger. It's nice when one is able to retain that childlike sense of the world and express themselves freely. Children are fabulous role models for adults ; )

If You Can Read This...
"If you can read this, put me back on my barstool..." This would be the logo on a t-shirt or those special times when you're just too drunk to stand upright and could use a little help... something that seems to happen time and again...
Spiders Make Me Gangster
I am so fearful of and disgusted by them. Everything about them grosses and freaks me out, from the way they walk, their nastly looking faces and eyes, those creepy legs all moving in unison... Am I the only one who feels this way? I just hate them so much. If there is one thing in nature that is truly scary, it is the spider. I hate spiders too SOO much that I can't even look at a picture of one without feeling faint. To me, they are truly unnatural... nothing in nature should have that many legs. ;-P
