When I Was Growing Up

When I was growing up, there was no "she's a kid" excuse when I misbehaved. There was "you do that again and I'll knock you into next week!" Both my parents ruled with iron fists and we knew all of our neighbors, so that if we misbehaved when we were out playing, my parents were informed of our misbehavior long before we made it home! It wasn't like today where people have no idea who their neighbors are...

  1. That's the way it was back in the day when parents could discipline their kids. My mom always told her friends and family if she wasn't there to get me then they were to take care of it.
